EEOC Files Bias Complaint On Behalf Of Disabled Workers In South Carolina

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) announced on October 3 that it filed a disability discrimination lawsuit against Work Services Inc. The company, which finds contract jobs for employees with disabilities, was sued over its contracts with a turkey-processing plant in Newberry, South Carolina. The complaint was filed on behalf of six former Work Services Inc. employees with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The EEOC alleges that the employer violated the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
