Eight States Participating In Collaborative To Support Family Caregivers
Eight states— Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Tennessee, Texas, and Washington —are participating in the second phase of the "Helping States Support Families Caring for an Aging America" collaborative to support family caregivers of older adults. This national initiative, led by the Center for Health Care Strategies (CHCS), is made possible by The John A. Hartford Foundation and the Michigan Health Endowment Fund. The focus of the program is to strengthen family caregiver capacity, establish strategies to collect data about caregiver needs and the effectiveness of programs, and build formal cross-sector partnerships to better support family caregiver needs . . .
