EmblemHealth Settles With New York, Agrees To Reforms To Improve Mental Health Access & Address ‘Ghost Network’ Concerns
EmblemHealth entered an agreement with the New York State Office of the Attorney General (OAG) to implement reforms to improve access to mental health treatment and to pay a fine of more than $2.5 million. In a key reform, EmblemHealth agreed to strengthen its mental health provider organization network and to improve the accuracy of its network directory to eliminate what the state called a “ghost network.” More than 1.5 million New York residents are enrolled in an EmblemHealth plan, through commercial plans, Medicaid managed care, Child Health Plus, the Essential Plan, and New York City employee health . . .
