Executive Order Directs Foster Care Reforms To Improve Youth Outcomes
A presidential executive order calls for the establishment of an online platform to connect foster youth with resources to help them transition to adulthood. The platform will help transition-age foster youth build personalized plans for obtaining education and career development and accessing housing assistance. To improve services for all foster youth, the executive order directed the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to promote modernization of state child welfare systems and expanded state use of technological solutions.
