Executive Order Launches The ‘Genesis Mission’ To Spur Scientific Research Through Artificial Intelligence
President Trump signed an executive order launching the “Genesis Mission” to build an integrated platform using artificial intelligence (AI) and federal scientific datasets to accelerate research and development.
The integrated AI platform is intended to create AI agents to test new hypotheses, automate research workflows, and accelerate scientific breakthroughs. Priority areas include national, economic, and health security; biotechnology; critical materials; nuclear fission and fusion energy; space exploration; quantum information science; and semiconductors and microelectronics.
