Facebook Uses AI Tools For Suicide Prevention
On November 27, 2017, Facebook announced that they are upgrading their artificial intelligence (AI) tools to help prevent suicide among members of the online community. The company hopes to help these members get help as quickly as possible.
The platform will use these AI tools on uploaded live videos and posts that are likely expressing thoughts of suicide. The tools have already been implemented in the U.S., and will be implemented worldwide in the near future.
