KanCare Families Survey Finds Diminished Satisfaction With Disability Services Under Managed Care
Families receiving Kansas Medicaid developmental disability waiver services and care coordination from the current KanCare managed care organizations (MCOs) are less satisfied with the MCO care coordinators than with targeted case management currently provided by local-area Community Developmental Disability Organizations (CDDOs). A survey conducted with family members and people receiving developmental disability waiver services found that 91% were satisfied with the CDDO targeted case managers, compared to 58% who were satisfied with the MCO care coordinators.
