FDA Approves Pear Therapeutic reSET Prescription Mobile CBT App For Outpatient Addiction Treatment

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the Pear Therapeutics' reSET® prescription mobile cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) app for non-opioid outpatient addiction treatment. The new FDA-cleared Prescription Digital Therapeutic has been approved for use by adults age 18 and older who are receiving standard, outpatient substance use disorder treatment for stimulants, cannabis, cocaine, and co-occurring alcohol use. Prescription digital therapeutics are clinically validated, FDA-cleared software applications that demonstrate enhancement for clinical outcomes safely and with desired results in randomized clinical trials to improve consumer outcomes.
