Feds Award States More Than $106 Million For Home Visiting Programs
On August 4, 2014, the federal Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) awarded $106.7 million in federal fiscal year 2014 grants for the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) program to 46 states, the District of Columbia, and five other jurisdictions. The funds allow states to continue and expand voluntary, evidence-based home visiting services to women during pregnancy and to parents with young children up to age five.
