Five Massachusetts Nursing Homes Forced Into Receivership Due To Financial Stress
On April 29, 2019, a Massachusetts judge approved the state Attorney General’s petition to put five nursing homes that are under financial stress into receivership. The Attorney General said the more than 200 residents were at risk of injury or death because the facilities are unable to make payroll and pay suppliers. The judge appointed KCP Advisory Group to execute the closure of the nursing homes and to manage them until they are closed. The nursing homes are Bedford Gardens, Bedford Village, and Rockdale Care, all in New Bedford; Dighton Care in Dighton; and Highland Manor in Fall River . . .
