On December 5, 2019, Florida Blue, Florida’s Blue Cross and Blue Shield company, and Papa, Inc. announced they will partner to address social isolation in the senior adult population. Papa, Inc. is an organization that provides senior support services. The partnership will offer to Florida Blue members assistance with transportation, house chores, companionship, and other services to those in select Medicare Advantage plans. By partnering with Papa, Florida Blue’s program aims to combat social isolation among older adults by connecting beneficiaries in need with college-age students (Papa Pals).
