Florida DCF Sues Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence For Overpaying Former CEO
On March 24, 2020, the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) sued the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Inc. (FCADV) over an alleged conspiracy that resulted in exorbitant compensation for its former chief executive officer (CEO), who allegedly received salary and bonuses of $7.5 million over three years. On February 28, 2020, the state terminated its contract with FCADV after legislation, House Bill 1087, was signed that no longer required the state to contract with FCADV for the services on a non-competitive basis.
Since 2012, FCADV has been responsible for overseeing operations of 42 certified domestic violence . . .
