Florida Faces ADA Lawsuit Over Medicaid HCBS Wait List
On December 12, 2018, Justice in Aging, along with Disability Rights Florida, Southern Legal Counsel, Nancy Wright, and Cozen O’Connor sued the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and the Department on Elder Affairs (DOEA) alleging that the state’s management of the Medicaid long-term care system violates Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
