The Florida Medicaid program plans to expand access to the iBudget home- and community-based services (HCBS) waiver for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD). On December 19, 2023, the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) released a request for comments on the iBudget Section 1915(c) renewal request, with comments due by January 19, 2024. After reviewing the comments, AHCA will submit the renewal request to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

In the renewal, the iBudget program is revised with the following changes:

Title changed to “Unique Abilities Individual Budgeting Waiver.”
