Florida Requests $1.15 Billion To Boost HCBS
On July 12, 2021, the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) submitted a more than $1.15 billion spending plan for home and community-based services (HCBS) to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for approval. Proposed uses for the funding include improving provider organization delivery system capacity, enhancing infrastructure that supports and encourages HCGS quality of care, expanding consumer access to HACBS services, and help recipients regain skills lost during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) public health emergency.
