Florida To Roll Out Opioid Addiction Care Network In Seven Counties
On August 3, 2022, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and state health officials expanded Coordinated Opioid Recovery (CORE), a pilot opioid addiction treatment and recovery-oriented network of care. The pilot is coordinated through the Department of Health, Department of Children and Families, and the Agency for Health Care Administration. The state intends to implement the CORE network in up to 12 counties. The first counties to implement CORE will be Brevard, Clay, Escambia, Gulf, Marion, Pasco, and Volusia. The second phase counties are Citrus, Duval, Flagler, Manatee, and Pinellas.
