Northeast Ohio Hospital Consortium On Opioid Addiction In Cleveland Launches Regional Effort To Coordinate Hospital Response To Opioid Epidemic
On September 6, 2017, the Northeast Ohio Hospital Consortium on Opioid Addiction (Consortium) launched operations; it is a regional effort to develop and lead a hospital-specific response to the opioid use crisis in the Cleveland area. The Consortium was formed by a number of community partners, including academic institutions, law enforcement, regional hospitals and the Center for Health Affairs in Cleveland, Ohio. A key function will be to coordinate activities of the member hospital systems to stem opioid use and misuse in Northeast Ohio.
