FQHCs Linked To Higher Use Of Outpatient Care For Adults With SMI
Adults with serious mental illness (SMI) who received care at Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) were more likely to have outpatient mental health visits (73%) than those who received care in other settings (71%). Those served by an FQHC were also more likely to have at least one prescription filled for a psychotropic medication fill (73%) than those who received care in other settings (69%).
The difference in fills for psychotropic medications were as follows:
