Franklin County Ohio Planning New Foster Care Program For Older Adolescents

In January 2016, officials with Franklin County Children Services (FCCS) in Columbus, Ohio, announced plans to develop a new foster care program to reduce institutional placements of older adolescents. For the new approach, FCCS is planning to contract with a provider organization that will develop foster homes and family-like settings specifically for older teenagers in FCCS custody.

An FCCS spokesperson said a request for proposals (RFP) is being developed, with the release anticipated during the second half of calendar year 2016. The scope of services has not yet been fully defined. The contract value is undetermined at this point . . .
