Georgia Creating Network Of Mental Health Crisis Apartments To Avoid Psychiatric Hospitalization
The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is expanding its network of mental health crisis apartments to provide short-term respite housing. The apartments are intended for individuals being discharged from a crisis stabilization unit or inpatient psychiatric facility who need a supportive residential setting to assist in their transition back to the community.
