Georgia Strengthens Governance Requirements For Community Behavioral Health Service Boards
On March 10, 2014, the Georgia legislature passed a governance requirement and performance measure for the state’s 26 community behavioral health service boards (CSBs). The CSBs are local authorities that manage state funding for behavioral health and developmental disability services. The legislation, Senate Bill 349, is intended to strengthen state oversight of the CSBs.
