Hawaii Child Welfare Seeks Resource Caregiver Placement Services For Young Children With Special Health Care Needs

On December 14, 2022, the Hawaii Department of Human Services, Child Welfare Services (CWS) released a request for proposals (RFP SSD-23-POS-1280) seeking a contractor to provide resource caregiver placements for young children with special health care needs (CSHCN) on the island of Oahu. The contractor will place young children from birth to age five with complex medical conditions in resource caregiver homes in the community for up to one year or until they are stabilized and able to transition to less intensive care, either by returning home to reunify with family or with other substitute placements.
