Health Care Occupations Projected To Add 1.9 Million Annual Job Openings Through 2034

Health care occupations are projected to grow much faster than the average for all occupations between 2024 and 2034, with approximately 1.9 million job openings expected each year, according to recent federal data. Those openings will stem from both employment growth and the need to replace workers who leave their occupations permanently. Overall, health care sector jobs are projected to increase by 8.5% over the 2024 to 2034 decade.
