HealthCare Access Maryland (HCAM) and Centurion Health have established a five-year partnership that will ensure that all justice-involved individuals in Maryland correctional services have active Medicaid coverage to ensure continuity of care as they return the community. The partnership was announced on February 27, 2025. Maryland was approved for a Medicaid demonstration waiver amendment to cover limited pre-release services to Medicaid-eligible individuals preparing for release to the community. The demonstration amendment was approved on January 13, 2025, and runs through December 31, 2026.

Through the amendment, the state Medicaid program will pay for the following:
