Hennepin County, Minnesota, Assumes Control Of Hennepin Healthcare System Amid Financial Difficulties

The Hennepin County Board of Commissioners voted to dissolve the Hennepin Healthcare System (HHS) Board and assume control of HHS. The takeover grants the county board direct oversight of the health system’s governance with the goal of stabilizing operations, preserving essential services, and ensuring continued access to care for county residents, the announcement stated.
