HHS & The VA To Collaborate On Research & Deployment Of Rapid-Acting Psychiatric Treatments For Veterans With Serious Mental Health Conditions
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) entered into a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen collaboration on the research, clinical development, and responsible deployment of potential future rapid-acting psychedelic drug products for veterans with serious mental health conditions. The agreement requires approval by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). If approved, the agreement includes an option to renew after the initial term.
