HRSA Announces $135 Million In Funding To Expand Nutrition Services & Strengthen Rural Health Workforce, Including Psychiatry
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) announced more than $135 million in new grant funding aimed at addressing two public health priorities: expanding nutrition services in primary care settings and strengthening the health workforce in rural communities. The rural workforce funding includes support for psychiatry alongside other medical specialties.
The majority of the funding—$125 million—will support expanded nutrition services, while $11.25 million will be directed to rural residency planning and development.
