HUD Awards 18 States $140 Million To Expand Housing Capacity For People With Disabilities

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is sending $138.5 million in grants to 18 states will share $138.5 million in grants to expand housing options for people with disabilities. The funds will allow the 18 state housing agencies to develop strategies to identify and refer low-income persons with disabilities to eligible homes, and to provide them with rental assistance and supportive services. The grants will be used to create 3,017 new units of supportive housing.
