Medicare Selects Payers To Participate In Primary Care First
On November 19, 2020, the Innovation Center at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the payers selected to participate in 24 states as partners in the Medicare Primary Care First (PCF) model. PCF is a five-year, multi-payer demonstration established to encourage primary care practices to shift to value-based care and to test whether this new payment model will improve quality and reduce costs in Original Medicare.
