ICE Terminates Camp East Montana Operations Contract, Hires New Contractor

The federal Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) changed contractors for an immigration detention facility near El Paso, Texas. The facility, dubbed “Camp East Montana,” had been operated by Acquisition Logistics LLC since July 2025 under a contract valued at $1.2 billion. DHS/ICE canceled that contract, and in March 2026, awarded the contract to Amentum Services Inc., which will take over operations and is expected to provide increased medical care, additional staffing, and expanded oversight.
