Idaho Department of Health & Welfare To Transition To Comprehensive Medicaid Managed Care

The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (DHW) is preparing to transition to comprehensive Medicaid managed care. Under such arrangements, state governments establish agreements with managed care organizations (MCOs) that cover the full spectrum of Medicaid benefits, encompassing medical appointments, medications, and inpatient treatment.

To support this effort, DHW released a request for information (RFI) in the form of a statewide survey. Feedback is welcome from Medicaid members, provider organizations, MCOs, and pharmacy benefit managers regarding their priorities for a comprehensive Medicaid managed care plan.
