Idaho Legislates Medicaid Work Requirements & Other Changes
Idaho plans to implement work requirements for its Medicaid expansion population, following the signature of House Bill 345 last month, which includes provisions to transition to Medicaid capitated managed care, implement cost-sharing requirements, and end automatic eligibility renewals using information from other programs. The state Department of Health and Welfare (DHW) will have more authority to cut Medicaid if the federal government reduces its federal medical assistance percentage for the expansion program.
