Idaho Selects Molina Healthcare Of Idaho & UnitedHealthcare For Dual Eligible Medicaid Managed Care Contracts
The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (DHW) Medicaid program is negotiating with Molina Healthcare of Idaho (Molina) and UnitedHealthcare of the Rockies, Inc. to manage the state’s Medicaid contracts for people dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid. The state issued an intent to award notice in December 2024, following a competitive procurement for Idaho Medicaid Plus (IMPlus) and the Medicare Medicaid Coordinated Plan (MMCP). On May 12, 2025, a DHW spokesperson said negotiations are ongoing and the contracts have not yet been fully awarded. The contracts are slated to begin January 1, 2026, and run for four years . . .
