Idaho To Bid Out Its Medicaid Dual Programs In 2023
The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (IDHW) is planning, for the first time, to seek competitive bids to run its two managed care programs for people eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid. A competitive procurement is anticipated in the spring of 2023. The procurement would affect the 26,000 people enrolled in the Idaho Medicare Medicaid Coordinated Plan (MMCP), which is structured as a Fully Integrated Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan (FIDE-SNP), and Idaho Medicaid Plus (IMPlus), a wraparound managed long-term services and supports program that provides Medicaid benefits only.
