Idaho To Provide Or Contract At Least Three Child Maltreatment Prevention Services
The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (DHW), Division of Family and Community Services (DFCS), plans to provide or contract with at least three evidence-based maltreatment prevention services for in-home and foster care cases throughout the state. The state’s goal is that children who have experienced abuse or neglect can receive preventive services, preferably in their homes. However, no procurement has been released yet. The new preventive services are anticipated to be available in the major areas of the state by July 1, 2024, but could go live earlier if provider organizations are ready before that date . . .
