Illinois Approves 11 Provider Organizations To Participate In Supportive Living Program For Dementia Care Settings
The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) approved 11 entities to pursue certification to participate in the Medicaid Supportive Living Program (SLP) for Dementia Care Settings, which operates through a home and community-based services (HCBS) waiver. The program allows Medicaid to pay for assisted living services for Medicaid participants with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia. They will provide apartments in Cook, DuPage, Lake, Saint Clair and Winnebago counties. The approval was announced on December 28, 2023. The selected applicants are required to become operational within 180 days.
