Illinois Medicaid D-SNP Procurement Attracts Six Bids
The Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) announced that six health plans submitted proposals for the state’s Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNP) procurement. The proposals are from Aetna Better Health Premier Plan, Centene/Meridian Health Plan, Molina Healthcare, Humana Health Plan, UnitedHealthcare, and Health Care Service Corporation. The initial contract term is slated to begin January 1, 2026, and run through December 31, 2029.
HFS had released the D-SNP request for proposals (RFP 2026-24-001) on September 3, 2024. Proposals were due by October 18, and selections are anticipated in December 2024.
