On September 3, 2024, the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) released a request for proposals (RFP 2026-24-001) for Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans (D-SNPs). Proposals are due by October 18, 2024, and awards are anticipated in December 2024. The initial contract term will start July 1, 2025, and will run through December 31, 2029, with renewal options for up to five years and six months. The new plans will go live January 1, 2026.
