In Proposed Consent Order, North Carolina Agrees To Provide Greater Access to Community Based Services To More People With I/DD
On April 10, 2024, Disability Rights North Carolina (DRNC) and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) filed a proposed consent order in which the state agreed to move more people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) from institutions to community-based services if they so choose.
