Indiana DCS Launches New Family Preservation Services
The Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS) launched the new Indiana Family Preservation Services (INFPS) at the start of fiscal year 2021. The program provides comprehensive evidence-based services and concrete supports to families to keep children safely with their primary caregivers and out of foster care. DCS will reimburse any services that are part of evidence-based models listed as at least a "promising practice" by the California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare.
The INFPS provider organizations are reimbursed using a per-diem reimbursement model, at $113.47 per day for a family with up to two children . . .
