Indiana Medicaid Implements Six-Month Moratorium On Enrolling New HCBS Waiver Provider Organizations

The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) implemented a moratorium on new provider organization enrollments for home and community-based services (HCBS) available under the state’s 1915(c) waivers. The moratorium is effective August 1, 2026, and will last for six months, though FSSA may extend the moratorium in six-month increments. The moratorium affects services under the following waivers:

Health and Wellness (H&W)

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
