On June 7, 2021, Indiana released a request for proposals (RFP) rebidding its Medicaid Hoosier Healthwise and Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) programs. The annual aggregate contract value is over $6 billion. The contracts will span up to six years. The state intends to contract with four managed care organizations (MCOs). The incumbents are Anthem, CareSource, Centene/Managed Health Services, and MDwise. The incumbent MCOs served about 1.4 million members as of April 2021.
