Integrated D-SNP Enrollment Among Dual-Eligible Beneficiaries With SMI Increased From 2.4% To 17.2% Between 2019 & 2022
Among dually eligible beneficiaries with serious mental illness (SMI), enrollment in integrated dual-eligible special needs plans (D-SNPs) increased from 2.4% in 2019 to 17.2% in 2022, according to a recent study. During the same period, enrollment in traditional Medicare declined from 58.6% to 42.6%, while overall Medicare Advantage (MA) enrollment increased from 41.0% to 57.0%.
