Iowa Auditor Finds Ongoing Deficiencies In State Controls To Prevent Concurrent TANF & Foster Care Or Adoption Payments
For the past decade there have been discrepancies in the Iowa Department of Human Services' (DHS') internal controls to prevent people who are receiving financial support through the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Family Investment Program (FIP) grants from concurrently receiving Title IV-E payments for foster care or subsidized adoption.
