Iowa Medicaid Awards Contract To Centene, Replacing Amerihealth Caritas
On May 21, 2018, the Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS) announced that it selected Iowa Total Care, Inc., a Centene subsidiary, for a Medicaid managed care contract for the IA Health Link program. The contract goes live in July 2019. The IA Health Link Program provides integrated Medicaid managed care coverage, including long-term services and supports (LTSS) and behavioral health, to over 600,000 Medicaid members in the state.
