Iowa HHS Selects Four Organizations As Regional Disability Access Points
The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently selected four organizations to serve as regional disability access points (DAPs) for the seven districts in the state’s transformation of how it manages disability services. The organizations are: Pottawattamie County (Districts 1 and 4), Central Iowa Community Services (Districts 2, 3, and 6), Polk County Behavioral Health (District 5), and MHDS of East Central Iowa (District 7). DAPs serve as Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) member organizations and provide information, assistance, and options counseling for long-term services and supports.
