Iowa Launches Redesigned Behavioral Health & Disability Services Systems 

On July 1, 2025, the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) launched its newly designed Behavioral Health and Disability Services Systems.; The new system sis intended to make it easier for mental health and substance use providers to help Iowans get the care they need, no matter where they go for help, according to the state. The new system is the result of a May 15, 2024 law (House File 2673).;;
