Iowa Rebidding Contract For SSI Advocacy Project Children In Foster Care

On May 6, 2016, the Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS) released a request for proposals (RFP DFO-17-001) for a manager for its SSI Advocacy Project, a contract currently held by Public Consulting Group. The project is to secure Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Survivors (SS) benefits for children within Iowa’s foster care system. Proposals are due by June 1, 2016, and the contract is slated to begin by July 1, 2016. The contract is planned for an initial one-year term followed by five additional one-year extensions.
