Iowa Unifies Behavioral Health & Disability Services Under New System With Centralized Navigation, Standardized Rates
On July 1, 2025, the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) launched its newly designed Behavioral Health and Disability Services Systems. It features a statewide behavioral health administrative service organization (BH-ASO) and four regional Disability Access Points (DAPs) that provide centralized navigation to make it easier for consumers to get the care they need, no matter where they go for help, according to the state.
