Japanese Nursing Homes Using Robots Had Better Care Outcomes
Japanese nursing homes that used robots to assist with consumer transfer, mobility, or monitoring had better care outcomes, according to a longitudinal study spanning 2020 and 2022. At nursing homes that used robots, the use of restraints was lower than at other nursing homes, and the incidence of pressure ulcers was lower.
